Local Rules
1. Out of Bounds
a) Beyond any wall or fence bounding the course.
b) 1st hole. On or over gravel line to left and on or over road to right of green.
c) 7th hole. On or over gravel line to right.
d) 8th hole. The cove.
e) 10th hole. On or over line to the right.
f) 12th hole. On or over path to right.
g) 13th hole. In bowling green to right.
h) Practice area right of 15th fairway and behind 15th green.
2. Immovable Obstructions
a) Gravelled soakways at 5th, 8th and 10th greens.
b) Mesh screens right of 2nd fairway.
c) Distance marker posts at fairways edges.
d) Stakes and gravel lines defining out of bounds within perimeter of the course when no playing the hole in which they refer.
e) Protection of young trees identified by stake or strapping. If such a tree interferes with the players stance or the area of his intended swing, the ball must be lifted, without penalty, and dropped in accordance with procedure described in Rule 24-1b(i). The ball may be cleaned when so lifted.
f) Tractor road to right of 2nd fairway.
3. Movable Obstructions
a) Stones in bunkers.
b) Fairway distance markers.
4. Ground Repair
a) Tractor tyre marks.
b) New tree plantations bounded by blue stakes. Play is prohibited. Relief must be taken as provided in Rule 25-1.
5. Integral Parts of the Course
a) Anti parking posts rear of 12th green.
b) Marker concrete base right of 3rd green.
6. Discontinuance of Play
A klaxon will be sounded to notify players to suspend play. The hole being played may be completed before discontinuing play. When play has been suspended by the Committee the player(s) shall resume play when the Committee has ordered a resumption of play.
7. Etiquette
a) Keep trollies and buggies away from the edges of greens, tees and bunkers.
b) Before leaving a bunker please smooth the sand.
c) Please avoid damage to the edge of holes when replacing flagsticks.
d) Please repair pitchmarks.
e) Please replace divots.
f) Players cutting in at any part of the course have no standing.
g) Please avoid slow play and wave through the following players when etiquette rules apply.
ANY MEMBER NOT TURNING UP FOR WINTER OR SUMMER COMPETITIONS WILL BE BANNED FROM THE NEXT THREE COMPETITIONS.
OTHER
No player may win more than one prize, and where a score returned would otherwise entitle a player to more than one prize, the player will be awarded the prize with the greater value.
A player from a visiting club may have to verify his handicap before a prize is awarded.
In individual strokeplay competitions it is the player's responsibility to record individual hole scores via computer in the clubhouse.
